The Coffee Bean System

The Coffee Bean System is offered as a Software-as-a-Service solution available to users through a standard web browser over the Internet. There is nothing to install in your local machine.

It is built as a collaborative platform from the ground up and use Streams to capture conversations and model relationships between people and business objects. It is designed primarily to promote collaboration and empower employees in their engagement with customers, but it also offers essential reporting and analytical tools for management.

The User Experience

In traditional corporate software, the user has a solitary experience interacting with a static database. In Coffee Bean, all the relevant updates related to any person, project or business object you follow comes to your personal hub, the same way updates about you friends and family come to your timeline in Facebook ou LinkedIn.

Social Media is changing business and how we interact with software applications. Systems that focus only on building a local database of contacts and transactions miss all the rich flow of information in the Internet. Job Changes and personal announcements from contacts, geo-location and address changes, customers news, company blogs, financial market information, are all part of a constant flow of relevant information that needs to be brought in context of your everyday business within your single business tool.

So you can spend less time filling forms to feed a database and are more informed to engage with customers and making business decisions. Coffee Bean is a system designed to do just that.

Social Sales and Social Marketing

Our system models traditional Customer Relationship Management objects: Contacts, Companies, Sales Leads, and Opportunity Streams. They come with the traditional tools you find in old CRM systems (events, notifications, notes, red flags, file attachments) and some new tools you might not have expect:


  • Talks for internal collaboration like what you do in social media sites
  • Connectors for Twitter to bring news and insights about your customers
  • Connectors for Facebook and LinkedIn to alert you about updates from contacts
  • Social Finder to expand your knowledge about people and to nurture and find new relationships
  • Social Media Search tool that helps you to prospect new opportunities using social media
  • Share tool that allows you share information and involve partners and customers in a interactive conversation

The Coffee Bean System is not a traditional CRM system, but it can solve the same problems better by taking an approach that leverage internal collaboration and all the rich information available in Social Media. It is a Social Sales and Marketing solution.

In addition to sales/marketing objects, we also model Projects and associated tools: tasks, milestones, events and notifications, document sharing, in-line conversations, etc.

For objects that have not yet been specifically modeled, the system supports generic Streams (called White Streams) that can be used to model business processes. Our customers have used them to capture Sales and Marketing Intelligence, track inventory items, model service tickets, etc.

Over time, as our system evolves, we will support new business objects and provide tools for you to customize them with specific business logic to solve any common problem within your business.
